Pick a floor, not a ceiling
On an ideal day you might cook, lift, journal, and walk. On a hard day the floor might be: protein at two meals, a 15-minute walk, and lights out within an hour of the usual time. Defining the floor prevents all-or-nothing collapse.
Stack habits onto existing anchors
- After brushing teeth: fill a water bottle.
- After logging off: five minutes of stretching before the sofa.
- Sunday: a short grocery list with vegetables you will actually cook.
Review monthly, not hourly
If a habit has not happened in three weeks, it is not a habit yet — shrink it. If it is easy, add five minutes or one extra vegetable. Sustainability is the metric. Perfection is a branding exercise.
